Celery and Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes

Celery and Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes




  • 6 quartered medium red potatoes

  • 3 tablespoons sour cream

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

  • 2 tablespoons goat cheese

  • 4 stalks of chopped celery

  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds

  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Add potatoes to large pot of heavily salted water and bring to a boil

  2. Once potatoes are fork tender, drain, and return to the pot to remove any remaining water.

  3. Add remaining ingredients, except the celery to the potatoes and mash until desired consistency is reached

  4. Stir in celery to incorporate

  5. Serve immediately.
